Our 10-Year Strategic Plan

The Salvation Army Aged Care is one of The Salvation Army Mission Enterprises and we care for and support older people through residential aged care and home care services throughout Australia. We have been caring from the heart since 1880.

As part of our ten-year Strategic Plan, The Salvation Army Aged Care will increasingly support older people who are the most vulnerable to more closely align with The Salvation Army’s Mission and Vision to serve and support the needs of the most disadvantaged older people in our communities.

Who We Are and Who We Serve

The Salvation Army Aged Care’s call to action is:

“Caring for the most vulnerable as they age by promoting a unique experience of choice, lifestyle and belonging in vibrant faith communities.”

The Salvation Army Aged Care lives, loves and fights by:

Furthering our mission and impact to focus on supporting older people who are the most vulnerable and seeking support to age with dignity by providing high quality, compassionate and holistic care in communities across our country.

A vibrant chaplaincy program that builds faith pathways and communities in our aged care centres.

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

We respect each individual and the rich lives that they have led, so our care is centred around their needs and preferences, not ours. Our person-centred care ensures people are healthy, comfortable and, above all, loved.

Through our commitment to reconciliation, The Salvation Army acknowledges the First Nations peoples of Australia as the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to elders past, present and emerging.

We also recognise, valueandincludepeople of all cultures, languages, abilities, sexual orientations, genderidentities, gender expressions and intersex status. We arecommitted to providing programs that arefully inclusive.
