2016 Walkathon a Success!
The Salvation Army Aged Care Plus' 2016 Walkathon has reached an incredible milestone, raising more than $80,000 for The Freedom Partnership to help end modern day slavery in Australia! More than 880 people walked for freedom across QLD, NSW and the ACT in August and September to raise vital funds and awareness for this prevalent issue. The funds raised will support victims of modern day slavery through access to services such as shelter, transport, food and emergency medical care nationwide, where no other support is available.
It's also not too late to donate! Please visit www.salvos.org.au/walkathon2016 and give generously.
