Located in the vibrant suburb of Burwood in Sydney's inner-west, the Village is just a leisurely stroll away from Burwood's restaurants, shops and local amenities, whilst also being tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets. We have built up a positive reputation in the community, with locals and local businesses being well acquainted with our residents and Village Manager and offering additional support.

Life at Shaftesbury Court Retirement Village

At Shaftesbury Court Retirement Village, we have a selection of 37 one bedroom and bed-sitter apartments across four floors. Each apartment is equipped with a ceiling fan, smoke detector, stove top and oven, emergency call system and built-in cupboards and storage, with elevator access on each floor. All apartments have a balcony, and those residing on the top floor can enjoy city and suburban views.

Our Village Manager and maintenance team are always available to take care of any queries from our residents as quickly as possible, just let us know and we will take care of the rest!

We are a warm and supportive community, and our residents often help each other with various domestic tasks and organise their own social gatherings and activities in our communal recreation room. We also love an opportunity for celebration and hold monthly birthday celebrations for our residents. The Village operates in accordance with all COVID-19 safety protocols.

Being a part of The Salvation Army Aged Care, we can assist you in organising Salvos Home Care NSW Services if you need some extra help. This is done inhouse and in consultation with the Village Manager and Salvos Home Care Team, saving you time and additional stress.
