Meals are cooked daily onsite by a qualified chef in consultation with the dietician. The menu is rotated regularly to promote choice and take advantage of what is in season. Each meal has a selection of high protein, vetarian and modified options. We also cater for special dietary and cultural requirements.
We take fun quite seriously! Interactive games and fitness activities carefully planned and organised by our Lifestyle team is part and parcel of our daily routine. These include day trips, celebrations, trivia, dancing, visiting entertainers and sing-alongs, exercise programs, gardening and more.
For those who wish to enjoy some quiet time, there are the gardens, library and lounge rooms. The Centre also has a hair salon for those who wish to enjoy some pampering and we have close connections with the local schools and volunteer groups, keeping our residents engaged and active within the community.
Scheduled visits from the local GP and other Allied Health services as needed, including podiatrist, speech therapist, occupational therapist and dentist.
We have a holistic model of care. The Centre Chaplains play an important role in bringing this to life. Whatever your beliefs, our Chaplains are here to assist in your spiritual and emotional journey, if you wish - because we don't have clients, only family.
We recognise the importance of family and friends and encourage them to be an active part of our community. Our dedicated family area allows families to spend quality time, celebrate special occasions with their loved one.
For visiting friends and relatives, we have an overnight visitor accomodation at a discounted price. Prior booking is essential.
The Salvation Army acknowledges the Traditional Owners of country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to elders both past and present.
