Welcome

Weeroona Aged Care Centre is home to a close-knit community of residents and staff. Providing all the comforts of home, we have beautiful landscaped gardens, outdoor areas, plus spacious interiors and rooms.

The gardens and outdoor areas are the perfect spot for individual quiet time or gatherings with family, friends and supporters.

At Weeroona Aged Care Centre, we recognise the importance of family and friends and encourage them to be an active part of our community. Our staff work closely with residents and their families or supporters to ensure personalised care. Many residents have recommended our care to their family members and friends.

Our convenient location is minutes away from Bass Hill Plaza, Chester Hill Square, local services and public transport.

We have strong ties and work closely with the local community, and over time we have built a reputation as an organisation that genuinely cares for others in need without discrimination.

Our Services

At Weeroona Aged Care Centre, we offer permanent residential care including palliative care and memory support; and respite (short-term) care. We also offer eligible residents in-house NDIS services.

Our team go beyond the clinical to cater for the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of residents. You will be in good hands with our friendly, compassionate and qualified staff whose aim is to ensure all residents receive the best care possible and feel at home.

Each staff member has undergone reference and security checks to ensure they are fully qualified, experienced and are passionate about working in the aged care sector. Our staff undergo ongoing training to ensure they are up to speed with the latest processes and knowledge. Emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diversity are other key factors that we take into consideration when recruiting staff into our Centre.

We offer a range of spacious rooms with plenty of natural light and bright interiors. All rooms have been designed with your comfort and security in mind.

Each room has:

  • 24-hour emergency call system
  • Telephone, TV and WiFi connection available
  • Built-in cupboards and storage
  • Air conditioning
  • Electronically adjustable beds

This is your home, you are most welcome to bring in your own favourite items - photos, mementos and accessories to dress the room to your own taste and preferences.*

*All items must meet the Centre's work, health and safety guidelines.

Meals are cooked daily onsite by a qualified chef in consultation with the dietitian. The menu is regularly rotated to promote choice and take advantage of what is in season. Each meal has a selection of high protein, vegetarian and modified options. We also cater for special dietary and cultural requirements.

Nutrition programs can also be organised as required.

We take fun quite seriously. The Centre has a dedicated Lifestyle team that organises daily activities based on the suggestions of residents via resident meetings. These include animal therapy, music therapy, art therapy, movie nights, regular visiting entertainers and Bible study group.

Residents can enjoy outings on our centre bus and our other amenities including hairdressing salon and mini library.

We also have a walking group and sensory program that takes place in our gardens to help maintain residents’ cognition and mobility.

Visits from the local GP and Allied Health services including physiotherapist, speech therapist, podiatrist, optometrist and geriatrician.

We have a holistic model of care. The Centre Chaplains play an important role in bringing this to life. We also have a chapel onsite. Whatever your beliefs, our Chaplains are here to assist in your spiritual and emotional journey, if you wish - because we don't have clients, only family.
