Experience continuity of care as your needs change at Woodport Retirement Village. Access government-subsidised Support at Home services through Salvos Home Care when you need it. The Salvos Home Care team's office is co-located with the Village team's. Services include nursing care, therapies, personal care, help with housework or assistive technologies - which you can receive while living independently.

If a short-term care stay is needed, or if you or your partner requires permanent care later on, support is nearby at Woodport Aged Care Centre. One partner can continue living independently in the Village, with the reassurance that their loved one is receiving 24-hour care.

Retirement Living FAQ

Facilities at Woodport Retirement Village include a village bus, bowling green, recreation room, library, gym, BBQ facilities, vegetable gardens, lounge areas, chapel and a teahouse.

All activities are decided by residents and can include but are not limited to craft groups, trivia sessions and outings.

Maintenance, gardening and assistance from the village team are also included.

Pets are generally not allowed into the Village, but this is subject to assessment. Please contact our team to discuss this further.

Of course! Guests are welcome to stay, but please let the Village team know in advance of their stay. Guests can stay with you, plus we offer discounted accommodation for your guests if needed.

All apartments at Woodport Retirement Village have a 24-hour emergency call bell system for peace of mind. The gates are locked at night, with access only available to village residents. All apartments also have their own lockboxes.

Yes, you may be able to make slight changes to your home, but you must first seek approval from the village team before proceeding.

At Woodport Retirement Village, residents are not responsible for any capital loss if the value of their residence decreases. As part of this arrangement, residents do not receive any capital gain if the value increases.

Woodport Retirement Village operates under a Loan Licence agreement. There are also four main categories of costs when moving into the Village: upfront deposits, an ingoing contribution, recurrent charges and a deferred management fee.
