Welcome

Barrington Lodge Aged Care Centre offers an inclusive and supportive lifestyle in a community setting. The Centre is rich in history while providing a cosy, comfortable home with tranquil gardens and a mountain backdrop. The heritage-listed building comes with large rooms with big windows, high ceilings and skylights, allowing plenty of natural light. It is a single-story building with straightforward access to all parts of the Centre. The Centre is conveniently located with access to public transport and is only 2 minutes drive to the New Town Plaza and local services.

We work closely with the local community and over time have built a reputation as an organisation that genuinely cares for others in need, without discrimination.

Each staff member has undergone reference and security checks to ensure they are fully qualified, experienced and are passionate about working in the aged care sector. Our staff undergo ongoing training as well to make sure they are up to speed with the latest processes and knowledge. Emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diversity are other key factors that we take into consideration when recruiting staff into our Centre community.

We take fun quite seriously! The Centre has a dedicated Lifestyle team that organises daily activities based on the suggestions of residents through regular resident meetings. These include concerts, shopping trips, visiting entertainers, gardening, movies and many more. Regular and personalised exercise programs are also arranged in conjunction with our Lifestyle team, such as physiotherapy four times a week. We also have a hairdresser who visits us weekly in our onsite salon.

For those who wish to enjoy some quiet time, there are private spots in the gardens, library and lounge rooms to relax in, as well as a recreational room for individual activities. We have close connections with the local schools and volunteer groups, keeping our residents engaged and active within the community.

Scheduled visits from the local GP and other Allied Health services as needed, including podiatrist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, optometrist and audiologist.

We have a holistic model of care. The Centre Chaplains play an important role in bringing this to life. We also have a chapel located onsite. Whatever your beliefs, our Chaplains are here to assist in your spiritual and emotional journey, if you wish - because we don't have clients, only family.
