Welcome

Seaforth Gardens Aged Care Centre is home to a close-knit community of residents and staff, who are like family. Our homely, single-storey residence contains vast landscaped gardens with a water feature and courtyards that have hillside views of the surrounding greenery. We are only a 5-minute drive to the local town centre, hospital and amenities. There is also ample parking and the bus stop is right outside the Centre.

We recognise the importance of family and friends and encourage them to be an active part of our community. Our friendly and committed staff work closely with families to ensure their loved one receives the best care for them, and our many communal areas allow our residents to spend quality time and celebrate special occasions with their families.

We work closely with the local community, and over time have built a credible reputation as an organisation that genuinely cares for others in need without discrimination, regardless of their personal circumstances.

You’re sure to feel right at home!

Our Services

At Seaforth Gardens Aged Care Centre, we offer permanent residential care including palliative care and memory support (based on assessment). We also offer eligible residents in-house NDIS services.

Residents trust that they are in good hands with our care team of fully qualified and committed individuals who share The Salvation Army values of integrity, compassion, respect, diversity and collaboration.

Our staff and Chaplain go beyond the clinical to cater for the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our residents. We have a person-centred approach to all the care that we provide.

Each staff member has undergone reference and security checks to ensure they are fully qualified, experienced and are passionate about working in the aged care sector. Our staff undergo ongoing training as well to make sure they are up to speed with the latest processes and knowledge. Emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diversity are other key factors that we take into consideration when recruiting staff into our Centre community.

All rooms at Seaforth Gardens Aged Care Centre are single rooms with private ensuites, designed with residents’ security and comfort in mind. Each room has:

  • 24-hour emergency call system
  • Telephone, WiFi and TV connections available
  • Built-in cupboards
  • Air conditioning
  • Electronically adjustable beds
  • Courtyard and hillside views

This is your home, you are most welcome to bring in your own favourite items - photos, mementos and accessories to dress the room to your own taste and preferences.*

*All items must meet the Centre's work, health and safety guidelines.

Meals are cooked daily onsite by a qualified chef in consultation with the dietitian. The menu is regularly rotated to promote choice and take advantage of what is in season. Each meal has a selection of high protein, vegetarian and modified options. We also cater for special dietary and cultural requirements.

Nutrition programs can also be organised as required.

We take fun quite seriously! The Centre has a dedicated Lifestyle team that organises daily activities based on the suggestions of residents via resident meetings including pet therapy, music and memory program, regular visiting entertainers such as singers and pianists, Bible study, gardening and regular outings. The local school also visits our residents quite regularly.

We offer:

  • Centre bus
  • Hip-height gardens for easy gardening
  • Hair dressing salon
  • Library
  • Recreational room
  • Computer room
  • Visitors’ lounge

We host a range of exercise programs including physio and occupational therapy assistance, gym sessions, balance exercise groups and walking groups to uphold our residents’ movement and mobility.

Scheduled visits from the local GP and other Allied Health services as needed, including physiotherapist, podiatrist, occupational therapist, optometrist and audiologist.

We have a holistic model of care. The Centre Chaplains play an important role in bringing this to life. We also have a chapel onsite. Whatever your beliefs, our Chaplains are here to assist in your spiritual and emotional journey, if you wish - because we don't have clients, only family.
